Position Overview
The Senior Software Engineer will play a key role in the R&D team, designing and developing major parts of the company’s highly scalable and high-performance solutions. Responsibilities include engineering the core platform, encompassing complex networking topology and optimizations, as well as the development of critical security features.
this person will be part of the group that focuses on developing the company's private cloud platform, which serves as the backbone of its products. This platform handles all customer traffic and enforces the company's security policies, ensuring scalability and minimal latency. The role demands a deep understanding of networking and internet protocols, tackling the key challenges inherent to this domain.
As a Backend Developer you will:
- Join a group focused on developing the company's private cloud platform, which serves as the backbone of its products.
- Handle all customer traffic and enforce the company's security policies, ensuring scalability and minimal latency.
- Design and develop major parts of the company’s solutions, focusing on scalability and high performance.
- Engineer the core platform, including complex networking topology and optimisations.
- Develop critical security features.
- Tackle key challenges inherent to networking and internet protocols.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- 5+ years of experience in C++ or C, or a combination of both
- 4-5+ years of experience with Linux
- In-depth knowledge of networking and network internet protocols like TCP/IP, UDP (MUST)
- Advanced proficiency in English
Bonus points if you:
- Speak Czech: Not mandatory, but very nice to have
Time Zone / Working Hours
This is a 2 days remotely 3 days in the office onsite role located in Prague - Czech Republic.
Our client has 1,000 people globally, and is establishing the new R&D team in Prague.
